Member of the Listie Lutheran Church; life member of Listie Volunteer Fire Department; Sweet Sixties; the UMWA; and Constructions Labor Union, Local 419. Death ended a marriage of 56 years. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m Sunday with the Rev. Trent, 67, was fatally injured when his buggy was struck by a car west of the city limits. The car was siad to have been driven by W.F. Barnhart of Somerset. Thrent was well known as a singer having appeared on many occasions on the Greensburg radio station."

"Ellis R. Trent Sr., 65, of Friedens RD 2, died May 31, 1989, at home. He was born May 23, 1924, in Stonycreek Township, son of Orange and Edna (Walker) Trent. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Ralph; and sister, Ruth. Survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Anna "Annie" Miller; and these children: Marlin J. Miller, married to the former Shirley Baumgardner of Friedens RD 2; Ellis Trent Jr., married to the former Donna Watson of Somerset; and grandson whom they raised, Todd Allan Trent, married to the former Debra Purbaugh; also six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was associated with Faith Lutheran Church and was a retired truck driver for Delta Industries. A World War II Army veteran and was a life member of Somerset VFW, Post 554. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, STOYSTOWN. Viewing from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. on Friday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles J. Hartbauer officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to Somerset Hospital Hospice."
"Ralph Frank Trent Jr., 79, of Somerset died Dec. 21, 1994, at Somerset Patriot Manor. Born July 31, 1915, in Chicago, Ill. Son of the late Ralph Frank and Naomi (Baltzer) Trent Sr. Preceded in death by wife, the former Mary Sharrah Getty, who died June 2, 1993, and one brother, Clifford Trent. Survived by daughters: Mrs. Sally Bickleman, Dallastown; Mrs. William (Pamela) Brown, Elyria, Ohio; Ms. Kathy Lee Nedrow, Somerset; also six grandchildren: William A. Brown Jr., England; Leanna Brown, Elyria, Ohio; Eric Bickleman, Dallastown; Michael Nedrow, Somerset; Carolyn Brown, Elyria, Ohio, and Matthew Nedrow, Somerset; great-grandchildren: Tonya, Damien and Kenneth Brown. Brother of Ernest L. Trent and Mrs. Tekhla Whipple, both of Somerset, and Mrs. Ethel Goehring, Greenville. Retired toll collector for the Pa. Turnpike Commission. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 181. A life member of VFW Post 554. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Hume, where service will he held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 918 Tayman Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501."
"Clifford B. Trent, 73, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Somerset, died May 2, 1978. Born March 8, 1905 in Somerset, a son of Ralph F. and Naomi (Baltzer) Trent. Survived by his widow, the former Alfrieda Bond. Brother of Ernest; Mrs. Charles (Teichla) Whipple; Ralph F. Jr. of Somerset; and Mrs. Warren (Ethel) Goehring of Greenville, Pa. Funeral services were held May 5, 1978 in Albuquerque. Interment, Tustin, Michigan."
