"Miss Carrie Peck, 101, of Meyersdale died Jan. 11, 1984, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. She was born April 8, 1882, in Summit Township, a daughter of the late Jacob W. and Elizabeth (Flickinger) Peck. She is survived by a sister, Miss Zura, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margarel Peck, both of Meyersdale; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, and active in the Ladies Aid Society. Friends were received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, where services were held with the Rev. Bobby Phillips. Interment, Union Cemetery."

"Cora Alice Sayler, 99, Meyersdale, died at her home on Monday, July 30, 1973. Born Oct. 25, 1873, in Somerset County, she was a daughter of the late Jacob W. and Elizabeth (Flickinger) Peck. Her husband, John, preceded her in death in 1953. Survivors are a son, Alva B. Sayler, of Monroeville; daughters, Miss Pauline Sayler and Mrs. Marzee Witt, both of Meyersdale; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Misses Carrie and Zura Peck and a brother, Robert Peck, all of Meyersdale. She was a member of Church of the Brethren, Meyersdale. Funeral service will be conducted at two o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon in Konhaus Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Interment in Union Cemetery."
